TUSCALOOSA, Ala. [Dec. 8, 2023] - The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama's Deputy Executive Director of West AlabamaWorks!, Brittani Colburn, has been named to the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) 2023 Forty Under 40 list of emerging leaders shaping the chamber of commerce industry. This annual recognition program showcases 40 of the industry’s top emerging leaders who have demonstrated success in their careers and made significant contributions to the communities they serve. The list includes CEOs and staff professionals from a wide variety of roles and chamber sizes. “Brittani most often chooses to work behind the scenes, but make no mistake her efforts are felt throughout our programs, which are changing lives throughout our community," said Chamber President & CEO Kyle South. "It’s encouraging when those efforts and results are recognized on a national level.” Colburn joined the Chamber staff in June 2017. She provides administrative support to the Region 3 Workforce Development Council / West AlabamaWorks! and assists with workforce training efforts throughout the nine-county region. Colburn also coordinates activities of numerous workforce development organizations and plays a central role in the planning, promotion and execution of the Worlds of Work career expo.
